Differences between SIM Card and eSIM

A SIM card is a physical card we use in our mobile devices to access data and call networks; it's the classic card we all know. On the other hand, an eSIM is a chip embedded directly in the mobile device that is activated by scanning a QR code, without needing a physical card.
The eSIM offers greater convenience by eliminating the need to swap physical SIM cards. You can buy it instantly from anywhere in the world, and it allows you to have different carrier profiles on a single device. However, it is only compatible with the latest generation of devices.

The first thing to consider is your device model . The eSIM is only compatible with the latest models (see the list in the previous question). It's also ideal if you're already at your destination or can't wait for the SIM card to be delivered to your home or office. The physical SIM card works with almost all models, and its installation process is simpler than that of the eSIM.
To choose the best plan, whether unlimited by the day or plans based on GB , the most important thing is to understand your data usage. Keep in mind that the average person uses between 1GB and 1.5GB per day (this average includes the use of social media, messaging, and streaming apps).
The type of destination is also an important factor. There are places in the world where you're constantly using your data, whether it's checking maps or Waze, reading reviews on TripAdvisor, researching the best places to visit, or sharing all the details with family and friends in real time through social media or messaging services. This usage determines your data consumption and will give you the best guidance for choosing your plan.

Yes, you can keep the same number. Your messaging or calling apps like WhatsApp and Telegram won't be affected; however, depending on your destination, you may have a number assigned to your plan, especially for receiving calls or subscribing to certain apps.
This will not affect any of the applications that are linked to your home country number; also, remember that this is not a permanent change, it is only while you are using your Connecty SIM/eSIM.

If you run out of data before your trip ends, several of our plans offer options to manage top-ups and maintain your connectivity. However, it's important to check beforehand whether it's possible to top up your SIM or eSIM for your destination.
